Marysville FFA members earn their Greenhand Degree on December 10th, 2015. The Greenhand degree is the first degree FFA Members can earn. Creed speakers; Cori Lee and Caity Kressley also presented their presentation of the FFA creed. The Greenhand Degree recipients were as follows; Grace Greer, Maura Grose, Kennedy Gwilliams, Morgan Bickley, Dexter Coffey, Kaitlyn Vance, Cori Lee, Bradly Pauley, Gary Markin, Walker Heard, Danielle Bradley, Matthew Carnes, Luke McClurg, Justin Diedrich, Ryan Pauley, Grant Kessler, Blake Kessler, Tiffany Sprague, Caity Kressley, Whitney Ey, Payne Miller, Kirsten Lowry, Paige Knepper, Nickey Scheiderer, Savana Fellows, Phenix Jepsen, Zane Potter, David Hendel, Brooke Jordan, Brianna Leisure, Dustin Nelsen, Amellia Lively, Ciara Plummer, Rachel Poling, Kinze Stokes, Blaine Williams and Kyle Bosch. To earn the Greenhand degree you must complete the following requirements; be enrolled in an agricultural class, have satisfactory plans for their Supervised Agricultural Experience project, have learned the FFA Motto, Salute and Creed, described the meaning of the FFA emblem and colors, understand and explain the FFA Code of Ethics and the proper use of the FFA jacket, demonstrate and understand the organization's history, chapter constitution and bylaws, and own or have access to the Official FFA Manual or the FFA Student Handbook. Marysville FFA is beyond proud of these members for contributing to the FFA Organization. The FFA Creed states the beliefs of Agriculture written by E.M. Tiffany. Presenters of the Creed, restated the entire five paragraph creed and answered questions over the Creed. Cori Lee won the Marysville FFA Competition for creed speaking and will move on to Sub-Districts. The next degree that these members could earn is the chapter degree. The Marysville FFA chapter degree ceremony will be held on January 13th, 2015.
