On December 14th, 2015, Marysville FFA took on their last fruit pick up for the year of 2015. Marysville FFA members spent all school day unloading fruit, making bags, boxes, and baskets of fruit and of course loading cars full of fruit. One single agricultural class, Agricultural business and management, sold over $16,000!
Marysville holds an annual fruit sale in the month of November and December. In the fruit sale members sell beef jerky and sticks, cashews, almonds, peanut brittle, butter toffee peanuts, apple cider, canned meat, flower bulbs and of course an abundance of fruit! Each FFA member is given a goal of $250 and each agriculture class sets their own, personal goal. These FFA members earn this money by speaking personally with customers and persuade potential buyers, learning great sale techniques. All members should be profoundly proud of their dedication to the fruit sale for this year’s annual fruit sale.
